A selection of the best content marketing resources
If you’re new to the content marketing business and cautiously feeling your way around you may find our listing of the top content marketing resources a good place to start. They’re not ranked in any particular order; over the years, we have found much to energise and provide a new and always interesting perspective on content marketing.
If you’re already a veteran, we’d love to hear from you what you think of the listing and whether you have any additional favourites of your own in the comments.
1) Content Marketing Institute
One of the earliest, if not the first to offer a systematic guide to content marketing and all its intricacies. Well-written site with great resources such as webinars, podcasts, blog, mailers and more all intent on sharing the love. We haven’t had an opportunity to attend their conferences or read their print magazine, but we aren’t complaining!
Joe Pulizzi, the founder of Content Marketing Institute tweets actively @JoePulizzi. Robert Rose is another of their people we love to follow @Robert_Rose
Primarily a content solutions company. Nevertheless, a great content resource with handy tips on the how-to part of executing your content strategy.
Much like Contently, this is also a solutions company. Check out their blog for updates, trends and the very latest info on content marketing.
Run by journalist Brian O’Connor, this site gives you a different perspective looking at both PR and journalistic angles. Not one of the big content sites, but definitely a very interesting read.
Copyblogger is a good site that explains the basics of content marketing together with the related jazz. Use this site as a resource particularly if you’re new to the business and need simple explanations of the benefits.
6) Social Media Today
Not primarily a content marketing site. If you’re looking at understanding the overall landscape of which content marketing is a part, then you’d do well to keep tabs on this site. There are good reads from time to time.:
